DANA POINT— Dana Wharf Sportfishing has announced its 2025 daily Catch & Release Bass Tournament for anglers fishing aboard the landing’s open ½-day, ¾-day and twilight trips. The Dana Wharf Sportfishing’s tournament will run from June to the end of August 2025—a full three months. Daily entry fee is just $5 to compete to catch the largest, released calico bass or barred sandbass on each trip. Both first and second place win prizes each month, and every entry is also entered into monthly prize raffles.

Prizes include a Turner’s Outdoorsman gift certificate, Costa sunglasses, a Daiwa rod, a Hogan’s Bait & Tackle gift certificate, a Promar gift certificate, and a Bass Pro prize pack, as well as an annual membership in the Coastal Conservation Association of California (CCA CAL). Proceeds from the Dana Wharf Sportfishing Catch & Release Bass Tournament benefit CCA CAL and its tireless work to conserve California’s marine resources and ocean angling access for everyone.
