Please Recreate Responsible Around Waterways and Respect Posted Signs!

This a reminder to everyone enjoying the Eastern Sierra and recreating around waterways to use extreme caution. Water levels can change without notice and create dangerous currents. Banks are unstable along the Owens River and other locations. Please adhere to all warning and closure signs.

No public access will be allowed within the Owens River Gorge from Long Valley Dam to the Control Gorge Power Plant during an LADWP three-week riparian flow from June 6 until June 25, 2023. The public is advised to avoid the area due to hazardous conditions. LADWP has also made the decision to delay motorized boating access at Klondike Lake. This delay is for motorized boating use only, otherwise, the lake is open. LADWP is planning on extending access to motorized boats past the usual Labor Day closure.
