VENTURA –Returning to the Ventura County Fairgrounds for three days of outdoor adventure, the West Coast Outdoors & Sportfishing Expo will run May 1 through May 3, 2026.
This year the outdoor adventure expo features a full slate of fishing seminars as well as the latest in tackle and outdoor gear, with huge savings on the stuff you really need.
The West Coast Outdoors & Sportfishing Expo was founded by Adam Casillas, Dr. Ron “Dr. A” Atanay, and Richard Ramos — three leaders united by a shared commitment to the outdoor industry and the communities that support it.
“With over 40 years of combined experience producing successful expos and large-scale community events throughout Southern California, Adam and Richard have built proven platforms that connect businesses directly with consumers in meaningful, results-driven environments.,” explained the affable “Dr. A”. The industry partnerships that have developed run deep within the outdoor community and extend beyond the local market — giving the Expo both deep community roots and expanding industry reach.
Several unexpected exhibitors add to the flavor of the Expo, bringing a unique set of experiences for visitors to the event. Local landings, tackle shops, and boat dealers from across the Southland will be on hand to talk about their special brand of outdoor action.
Vendors like Executive Yachts, Kirby Subaru, Eco Spa, and Airstream Ventura, to name just a few, will give attendees even more exciting worlds to explore.
The expo is committed to focusing on family fun and the kids fishing pond will be loaded with hungry trout. An exciting petting zoo and pony ride will give little anglers plenty to enjoy.
Hourly seminars featuring talented anglers, skippers and crew with local knowledge and proven skills will share tips and secrets for getting fish in salt and fresh water.
This “3-Day Super Show” will feature products and demonstrations for freshwater, saltwater, fly-fishing and conventional gear; all that any angler could want, in one place.
Huge displays of boats and trailers will be available for inspection, with boats of all sizes, from skiffs to cruisers on hand.

Martin Ayala’s Tackle, Eric’s Tackle Shop in Ventura, and Bob Sands Fishing Tackle, will each have a huge presence.
Bob Sands Fishing Tackle will be displaying loads of products brought in from their Van Nuys location, with over 600 rods on the floor at super prices. New owners Talar and Aren Antounian will be on hand to give hands-on personalized service to anglers looking for deals.
Channel Islands Sportfishing Company Oxnard, CISCOS, Santa Barbara Landing, and Hooks Landing, will all be on tap to talk about their boats, local fishing, and to book trips for the upcoming season.

Professional bass fishing guide Fred Klinshaw, and white seabass expert, Capt. Shawn Stewart will have seminars on maximizing fishing for targeted species. Presentations on fly fishing along with free fly fishing and fly tying lessons can be accessed throughout each day of the Expo.
