The Battle saltwater combo delivers PENN quality in a combo package for
fly anglers
COLUMBIA, S.C – Already an iconic brand in the saltwater space, PENN is now inviting saltwater fly anglers to enjoy the same high quality fishing tackle with the new Battle Fly Combo. This all-new combo package for fly fishing anglers delivers the same rugged construction found in its big-game rods and reels in an affordable and performance-driven package. The Battle saltwater combo is built to take on nearly any challenge whether fishing on or offshore.
“The Battle saltwater combo is the first fly combo offering from PENN,” said Jim Murphy, Director of Fly Fishing for PENN. “We recognized the opportunity to bring PENN’s legacy as a tackle company to the fly fishing world. Now anglers can fish with a rugged, ready-to-fish combo that meets the same robust standards as PENN’s traditional gear. This is a great travel rod and reel for performance-minded anglers that are looking for a ready-to-fish combo for their next saltwater trip.”
The Battle saltwater combo will be available as a four-piece, medium-fast rod and in 8 and 10 rod weights for big-game fish. It comes in a ballistic mesh hard rod tube rod and reel carrier, pre-spooled with high quality, looped WF floating line, backing and a tapered loop leader. The reel is a die cast and anodized to protect it from the harshest saltwater environments. It also features a fully adjustable disc-drag system and an anodized, double up-lock aluminum reel seat with carbon spacer.
The ready-to-fish setup makes this combo ideal for anglers looking for tough and dependable saltwater-ready fly rod and reel. Whether you’re an angler on vacation looking to wet a line or a charter captain that wants to give his or her clients the option to fish with a fly rod, there’s no better combination of durability and performance, at an attractive price, than the PENN Battle saltwater combo.
The PENN Battle saltwater combo will retail at an MSRP of $249.95 and can be found at authorized PENN dealers or online at www.PennFishing.com.
